Navigating Infection Risk Data

Data gathered from 2 behavioral choice experiments on distinct developmental stages of Drosophila. Both experiments were conducted under laboratory conditions. Larvae were given the choice of cannibalising an infectious or non-infectious carcass and infected or healthy mated females were given the choice of laying eggs on 3 potential oviposition sites containing: food, food and a dead fly or food and a dead infected fly. Following these choice assays we measured the developmental and pathological consequences of these decisions, in the form of egg-to-adult viability and pathogen load.本数据集采集自两项针对果蝇（Drosophila）不同发育阶段的行为选择实验，两项实验均于实验室条件下开展。其中第一项实验设置为：果蝇幼虫可选择同类相食感染性或非感染性果蝇尸体；第二项实验设置为：已交配的感染雌蝇与健康雌蝇，可在三类潜在产卵位点间选择产卵，三类位点分别为仅含食物、含食物与一只死果蝇、含食物与一只已感染的死果蝇。完成上述选择实验后，我们通过卵至成虫存活率与病原体载量两项指标，量化评估了这些行为选择所带来的发育与病理后果。
