Inventory of nature and landscape conservation objects of municipal importance

Habitats for animals and plants (natural conservation objects), striking landscape elements (landscape conservation objects) and viewpoints are shown. The dataset also contains information regarding the legal obligation.

**Purpose**: The municipal nature conservation properties have been and will be eliminated in order to ensure the sustainable conservation of the local biodiversity of the city of Zurich. In terms of size, spatial distribution and biotope type quality, the objects meet the most important requirements for the conservation or resettlement of populations of native animal and plant species. The legal basis of municipal nature conservation properties is the cantonal planning and construction law (particularly § 203 and 205 PBG).
