Observations of tropical-cyclone-induced near-inertial wave variability and seabed reflection on the continental slope of the northern South China Sea

From April 2008 to October 2008, our research group carried out continuous observation of moorings in the northern slope of the South China Sea. Three moorings were deployed in the southwest slope area of Dongsha Islands. One mooring was located at a depth of about 1500 meters and two moorings were located in shallow water area to obtain the near bottom current. The observation objective was to obtain the spatial-temporal evolution characteristics of internal waves in the continental slope of the South China Sea.2008年4月至10月，本研究团队对南海北部陆坡的锚系潜标（moorings）开展了连续观测。研究团队在东沙群岛西南陆坡区域共部署三套锚系潜标：其中一套布放于约1500米水深处，另外两套布放于浅水区，以获取近底流场数据。本次观测的目标为获取南海大陆坡内波（internal waves）的时空演化特征。
