资源简介:
High-calorie intake has become one of the most common reasons causing dietary obesity, which eventually develops to type 2 Diabetes Mellitus (T2DM). The jejunal microbiota contributes to the host metabolic disorders, but it has been rarely studied. To explore the causal link between the jejunal microbiota and the onset of obesity and T2DM, we perturbed the jejunal microbiota in diet-induced obesity (DIO) mice using high salt (HS) and antibiotic-induced microbiota depletion (AIMD), respectively and evaluated their impacts on parameters of both obesity and blood glucose. We demonstrated that the onset of obesity and T2DM in DIO mice is impeded when the jejunal microbiota were perturbated; thus, this pathogenesis is dependent on the jejunal microbiota.
