Underwater images of Mayotte reefs, Jolly Roger, colony 01 Acropora humilis, Future Maore Reefs (FMR)

This dataset is the result of a fieldwork conducted at Mayotte island, over-sea French territory. Mayotte is part of the Comoros archipelago located northward in the Mozambique Channel, western Indian Ocean (WIO). Five well-developed coral reef ecosystems (Aéroport International, Île Blanche, Jolly Roger, N'Gouja, Surprise) representing fringing (F) and inner patch reefs (IPR) within 2-8m depth were sampled during ten field trips between october 2021 and september 2025.本数据集源自法国海外领地马约特岛的野外调查工作。马约特隶属于地处西印度洋（WIO）莫桑比克海峡北部的科摩罗群岛。2021年10月至2025年9月间，研究团队通过10次野外作业完成采样，共涉及5处发育完好的珊瑚礁生态系统，涵盖岸礁（F）与内部斑块礁（IPR）两种类型，分布于2至8米水深区域，具体采样点为国际机场礁、布兰什岛礁、乔利罗杰礁、恩古贾礁及瑟普赖斯礁。
