Chromosome-level reference genome of non-heading Chinese cabbage [Brassica campestris ( syn. Brassica rapa ) ssp. chinensis]

Non-heading Chinese cabbage (NHCC) is an important variety of Brassica rapa and is planted world widely. Here, the chromosome-level genome sequence of NHCC001 was reported, which was based mainly on PacBio and Hi-C data. The assembled NHCC001 genome was 405.33 Mb long, with a contig N50 of 2.8 Mb and scaffold N50 of 38.13Mb respectively; 52.56% of the assembled genome was composed of repetitive sequences and long terminal repeats (LTRs) were the most abundant (20.42% of the genome). Using Hi-C datas, 97.9% (396.83 Mb) of sequences were assigned to 10 pseudochromosomes.
