资源简介:
This dataset contains filtered data from a scientific article titled "Two Centuries of Oceanographic Data in the Indonesian Seas and Surroundings: Historical Trends, Gaps, and Future Challenges". The data were exported from Ocean Data View 5.0.0 with ODV Spreadsheet format in TXT files. All files have the same oceanographic variables: temperature (°C), salinity, dissolved oxygen (μmol/kg), pH, and nitrate (μmol/kg). The data was downloaded and processed from several data portal including World Ocean Database (WOD-18), Argo Programme, PODC, NANO-DOAP, BRIN, IOCAS, FIO _______ About the research: Motivation: We all believe that data collection plays an important role in understanding how the ocean works and its effect on global climate. Thus, this study provides a comprehensive inventory of ocean observation in the Indonesian Seas and Surroundings, highlighting existing data, identifying gaps, and emphasizing the need for future observation. The Indonesian seas and surrounding seas are located on the equator and are the gateway for the movement of water masses from the South China Sea which depicted by orange lines and the Western Pacific which depicted by yellow lines to the Indian Ocean. In this research, nine datasets were used as a source of in-situ data at all depth in the region. These datasets utilized various instruments such as profiling float, acoustic doppler current profiler, and CTD to measure the value of various variables, such as temperature, salinity, and power of hydrogen. Many countries from all over the world such as Indonesia, France, Japan involved in these datasets. As well as University of Padjadjaran which handled the Padjadjaran Oceanographic Data Centre. After data filtering, we found that Approximately 22% of the data was filtered out during quality checks. And Some datasets, like the Rama Buoy, TOA Buoy, and NANO-DOAP, underwent no reduction during the screening process, indicating high-quality, reliable initial data. Four main findings: Findings: 1. Oceanographic data measurements in the ISS have been recorded since 1800. 2. The number of measurement points began to increase in 1901 – 1925 3. The South China Sea and the Malacca Strait have the densest point concentration of all regions 4. Measurement pattern aligns with the Indonesian Archipelagic Sea Lanes (ALKI).
