Determination of Tachysurus nudiceps mtgenome

Tachysurus nudiceps is a bagrid catfish, endemic to Japan. The populations of this catfish have declined. Consequently T. nudiceps is listed as vulnerable or near threatened species. In this respect, the habitat of this species should be surveyed, but there is no specific primer for this species to survey its distribution by environmental DNA procedure. However, there is no species-specific primer for the environmental DNA survey. Therefore, we determined the whole mtDNA sequence in order to make a species-specific primer set in a future study.
