Assessing Increased Vulnerability Knowledge and High Temporal Resolution Guidance on Forecaster and Emergency Manager Decision Making

This National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) Hazardous Weather Testbed (HWT) study applied and integrated social and behavioral methods to assess Weather Forecast Office meteorologists' and end users' abilities to use the Brief Vulnerability Overview Tool (BVOT). BVOT is a GIS-based tool that displays known people, places, and things that are vulnerable to specific weather hazards. Published here are several survey instruments used in our HWT study.
