SATD in Ruby on Rails OSS Projects: Replication Package

Replication package for the paper "Self-Admitted Technical Debt in Modular Open-Source Ruby on Rails Ecosystems: A Multi-Project Empirical Study" (Topalidi, 2026, American Impact Review). This package contains the scripts, extracted datasets, and summary outputs needed to reproduce every number, table, and figure in the paper. Contents:- scripts/ — analysis pipeline (Python 3): SATD extraction, RQ1/RQ2/RQ3 analysis, dual-reporting, figure generation- data/ — 907 raw SATD comments, 400-comment stratified sample, per-module and per-project statistics- figures/ — Figures 1, 2, and 4 from the paper (PDF + PNG)- results/ — summary report, correlation tables, Mann-Whitney outputs Dataset: 907 SATD comments extracted from five Ruby on Rails projects (Decidim, Discourse, Solidus, Spree, Mastodon) across 1,546,031 lines of Ruby code. After manual validation of a 400-comment stratified sample, corrected totals under two reporting scenarios: Scenario A (inclusive, rubocop:disable counted as SATD) = 775 comments, density 0.50 SATD/KLOC; Scenario B (classical, rubocop:disable excluded) = 398 comments, density 0.26 SATD/KLOC.
