Angelica Polysaccharides Relieve Blood Glucose Levels in Diabetic KKAy Mice Possibly by Modulating Gut Microbiota: An Integrated Gut Microbiota and Metabolism Analysis

This study investigated the treatment effect of angelica polysaccharide against diabetes in KKAy mice, a well-established animal model of type 2 diabetes. Meanwhile, we enrolled 16S full-length sequencing, metagenomic sequencing, and metabonomic to explode the cecum contents of mice. The results showed that angelica polysaccharide effetely alleviated type 2 diabetes with beneficial changes in gut microbial composition, function, and gut metabolites.
