资源简介:
The tawny frogmouth (Podargus strigoides) is a species of frogmouth native to the Australian mainland and Tasmania. It is often mistaken for an owl, but this is due to convergence (revised from Wikipedia entry). This genome is from a female in Taronga Zoo, Australia, procured and collected by Mark DeBruyn and Marina Cusack, and was used to generate a high-quality reference genome for the Vertebrate Genomes Project (VGP). Sequencing and genome assembly were conducted at the Vertebrate Genomes Lab (VGL) at the Rockefeller University, led by Olivier Fedrigo and Erich D. Jarvis, with support from Tom Gilbert and Jarvis.
