The position of the PHYTOCLY station is 42°34.85'N, 08°43.71'E, close to the 40 m isobath. In a few cases, depending on meteorological conditions and/or boat availability, sampling was performed slightly closer to the shore (42°34.85'N, 08°43.60'E), on the 10 m isobath. The two locations are 150 m from each other.
