Data for: Changes in small mammal communities throughout the late Quaternary across North American environmental gradients

Site genera obtained for this study. Fossil data come from the Neotoma database (Neotomadb.org), references for the modern occurrences are indicated in the supplemental materials. For our analyses we followed the taxonomy of Wilson and Reeder (2005); note however that in this file we have separated the genus "Mictomys" from "Synaptomys" for those researchers who would like to make the distinction.
