Soil samples were taken from a paddock adjacent to an abandoned copper-smelting plant in Daye, Hubei Province, China. soil samples were divided into three groups according to the Nemerow pollution index so as to determining the diversity and community composition of bacteria, fungi and protists in soils contaminated with multiple heavy metals.
