A monthly light pollution index dataset for rivers in China, with a spatial resolution of 10×10 km, covering the period from April 2012 to October 2021. This index integrates multiple data sources including river discharge, nighttime light brightness and river length, and reflects the spatiotemporal distribution and evolutionary dynamics of river light pollution. The dataset is stored in SHP (Shapefile) layer format, containing a total of 96,200 grid cells, with 115 light pollution index attribute fields.
