NRS-16114 | Admission and Discharge Books [Newcastle Benevolent Hospital (1889- 1939) / Newcastle Western Suburbs Maternity Hospital (1939- )]

The volumes of this series record admissions and discharges on facing pages, normally with each opening covering one month, and with monthly tallies and subtotals recorded. The second volume commences with a record of all inmates of the asylum as at the 1st of July, 1899 (which is also its starting date). Both maternity and charity cases are recorded. The first volume of the series (B7973) also contains (pp 69-81) a later record of purchases, largely of foodstuffs, for the period November, 1920 - December, 1921.
