This is the supplementary code and data for “More stringent adaptation solutions are needed to alleviate future groundwater stress over China”. The dataset contains groundwater stress index (GWSI) over mainland China during future period (2006-2050) at a spatial resolution of 0.25°×0.25° grid scale. The GWSI is calculated as the ratio of groundwater withdrawal to natural recharge with consideration of irrigation return flow and environmental flow requirement. The future GWSI projection consider three different experiments setting (namely without adaptation, under existing measures and potential solutions) under two shared socioeconomic pathways (SSPs) and representative concentration pathways (RCPs) combinations: SSP1-RCP2.6 and SSP2-RCP6.0. Code for GWSI calculation is produced with MATLAB R2021a. The detailed descriptions for the methods and dataset are presented in the paper (Huang et al., 2015). 本数据集为论文《亟需更严格的适应方案以缓解中国未来地下水压力》("More stringent adaptation solutions are needed to alleviate future groundwater stress over China")的配套补充代码与数据集。本数据集包含2006-2050年未来时段中国内地的地下水压力指数(Groundwater Stress Index, GWSI),空间分辨率为0.25°×0.25°格网尺度。该指数以地下水抽取量与自然补给量的比值为基础计算得到,同时纳入了灌溉回归水与环境流量需求的考量。未来地下水压力指数的预测情景设置了三种不同的适应方案,分别为无适应措施、现有适应措施及潜在适应方案,并基于两种共享社会经济路径(Shared Socioeconomic Pathways, SSPs)与典型浓度路径(Representative Concentration Pathways, RCPs)的组合场景:SSP1-RCP2.6与SSP2-RCP6.0。地下水压力指数的计算代码基于MATLAB R2021a编写完成。本数据集与研究方法的详细说明已发表于Huang等人(2015)的论文中。联系方式:如有进一步疑问,请联系黄仲伟(huangzw@nuist.edu.cn)。
