Diabetes and its complications research dataset

The data in this study were derived from the de-identified follow-up dataset of diabetes patients in the Department of Diabetes and Endocrinology at the Sixth People's Hospital Affiliated to Shanghai Jiao Tong University from February 2012 to April 2012.The dataset encompasses demographic and clinical characteristics of diabetic patients, including fundamental traits and obesity indices, with a focus on their correlations and mechanistic impacts on diabetes onset. Detailed demographic information and basic physiological profiles of diabetic patients are provided in the Appendix. This dataset enables in-depth analysis of the specific effects of glycemic status, lipid profiles, insulin levels, as well as hepatic, renal, and hematologic parameters, integrated with disease history, lifestyle factors, complication profiles, and genetic predispositions, on the development and progression of diabetes mellitus.  Furthermore, it facilitates investigations into associations between diabetes and retinopathy, patient awareness of diabetes, and treatment adherence.

本研究所用数据来源于上海交通大学附属第六人民医院糖尿病与内分泌科2012年2月至2012年4月的糖尿病患者去标识化随访数据集(de-identified follow-up dataset)。该数据集涵盖糖尿病患者的人口统计学特征与临床特征，包括基础体征与肥胖相关指标，重点探究其与糖尿病发病的关联及机制性影响。糖尿病患者的详细人口统计学信息与基础生理指标谱已附于附录中。本数据集支持开展深入分析，可探究血糖状态(glycemic status)、血脂谱(lipid profiles)、胰岛素水平，以及肝、肾、血液学参数，结合疾病史、生活方式因素、并发症情况与遗传易感性(genetic predispositions)，对糖尿病发生发展的具体作用。此外，该数据集还可用于研究糖尿病与视网膜病变(retinopathy)、患者糖尿病认知水平及治疗依从性(treatment adherence)之间的关联。
