This folder contains raw data from XPS surveys associated with the article "Gangue-driven surface processes during oxidative acid column leaching of chalcopyrite" (to be submitted to the Hydrometallurgy journal). This dataset contains a time series of XPS surveys corresponding to the analysis of chalcopyrite samples subjected to oxidative acid leaching in the absence (series B) or presence (series C) of chloride ions. These samples were placed at different locations within the two column systems, each composed of three columns connected in series. B0/C0 samples were located at the start of each system, while B1/C1, B2/C2, and B3/C3 samples were located after the first, second, and third column, respectively, for each system. The subfolders within each of the B0-B3 or C0-C3 folders correspond to each specific sample followed over time (the experiment lasted 72 days) in each location. Further details on the methodology followed to obtain these results can be found in Larrabure, G., Batchelor, A., Salinas-Farran, L., Neethling, S. J., & Brito-Parada, P. R. (2025).
