Forest functions in Saxony — flooding areas according to the Saxon Water Act

The data set contains the forest areas designated as flooding areas according to the Saxon Water Act (SächsWG) and the Water Resources Act (WHG) in the Free State of Saxony. Flooding areas are used to secure the harmless outflow of floods by keeping the area of obstacles free. They are natural restraints whose expulsion is based on at least one flood event that can be expected statistically once in a hundred years. The geographical name of the flood area is listed for each area. The data is used for the forest function map 1:25,000 of Saxony.
