Parkes observations for project P885 semester 2020APRS_18

We propose to observe the magnetars 1E 1547.0-5408 and PSR J1622-4950\r\napproximately weekly, to track their rotation, flux density, and\r\npolarisation, as we have long been doing through this project. The\r\nrevolutionary UWL capabilities promise new opportunities to disentangle\r\nstill mysterious radio emission mechanisms in magnetars. This promise\r\nis supported by the recent follow up of XTE J1810-197, again a radio\r\nmagnetar after 10 years dormant, for which our observations with\r\nthe UWL receiver are providing unique and tantalizing measurements\r\nof its radio spectrum and polarisation.

具备革命性的UWL观测能力，为厘清磁星中迄今仍未明晰的射电辐射机制提供了全新契机。
这一潜力已得到XTE J1810-197近期后续观测的佐证：该源在沉寂10年后再度作为射电磁星出现，我们利用UWL接收机开展的观测，正为其射电频谱与偏振特性提供独一无二且引人瞩目的测量结果。
