Whole-genome shotgun sequencing of 14 isolated bacterial strains from human gut microbiota

We performed whole-genome shotgun sequencing on 14 pure bacterial isolates obtained from the feces of healthy individuals with long-term alcohol consumption. Although the library preparation followed a metagenomic protocol, the DNA originated from single-species cultures. The data were used for genome assembly, phylogenetic analysis, average nucleotide identity (ANI) calculation, and comparative genomics.
