Title of program: MURI, NEUTRON YIELDS AND SPECTRA Catalogue Id: AABP_v1_0 Nature of problem Neutrons in the 10- to 4000-keV energy range can be obtained by irradiating a thick lithium target with protons. As protons penetrate the target they gradually lose energy. Muri determines the probability of neutron generation along the proton path, computes the probability that a neutron will reach a prescribed volume element, and finds the energy spectra of neutrons that do so. The code also provides a neutron energy spectrum weighted with the response of a uranium fission chamber and computes ...
