Key regional figures; national accounts

Regional accounts shall provide a quantitative description of the economic process of regions within a country consistent with the national accounts. As components of the economic process, production, income distribution, spending and financing are distinguished in the national accounts.
However, the regional accounts focus on the description of the production processes in the various regions.

Data available from: 1995

Status of the figures:
The figures for the reporting years up to and including 2018 are final. The figures for the reporting year 2019 are also definitive with the exception of the variables working years, employed persons and hours worked. Due to the late availability of the annual self-employed data, an exception is made for figures on working years, employed persons and hours worked. This data will only be published as final one year later. The figures for the 2020 reporting year are still provisional.

Changes as of 19 November 2021:
Due to a problem in the processing of the source data, inaccuracies have arisen in figures about the self-employed. These are the working years and hours worked for the self-employed for 2020. These have now been revised. The other variables and reporting years have not been adjusted.

When are new figures coming?
New figures for the reporting years 2019, 2020 and 2021 will be available in October 2022.
