Gender equality index of the health dimension and its sub-dimensions in the Basque Country.

The Gender Equality Index is a synthetic indicator that summarises the inequalities that still exist between men and women in a number of relevant aspects that affect their well-being and personal development. It is developed using the methodology of the European Institute for Gender Equality (EIGE), as well as the information provided by that institution on all of the 28 countries that are currently part of the European Union. The application of this methodology allows, therefore, to compare the advances in gender equality in the Basque Country with the reference offered by the countries of the European Union. Its composition includes 31 indicators, structured hierarchically in six dimensions, which in turn are divided into 14 sub-dimensions.
