Linking species distribution models to observed dieback in the Vosges mountains

This dataset contain the databases and scripts allowing to test whether SDM-predicted changes in climatic suitability match remotely sensed dieback in two widespread European conifers, Abies alba and Picea abies. SDMs were calibrated using 93,145 plots and fitted with Generalized Additive Models (GAMs) and Boosted Regression Trees (BRTs) under historical conditions, and then projected onto contemporary climate conditions, coinciding with the onset of widespread forest decline.
本数据集包含数据库与脚本代码,可用于验证物种分布模型(Species Distribution Model, SDM)预测的气候适宜性变化,是否与两种广泛分布的欧洲针叶树——欧洲冷杉(Abies alba)和欧洲云杉(Picea abies)的遥感监测枯衰现象相匹配。该数据集所依托的物种分布模型以93,145个样地完成校准,并在历史气候条件下分别采用广义可加模型(Generalized Additive Models, GAMs)与提升回归树(Boosted Regression Trees, BRTs)进行拟合,随后将模型投影至与大面积森林衰退起始阶段重合的当代气候情境中。
