资源简介:
Supercritical fluids display a wide range of thermodynamic and transport properties, making them important for scientific advancement and practical applications. A unique property of supercritical fluids is the presence of two-component dynamics, distinct low and high frequency acoustic response. These high and low frequency components display liquid-like and gas-like behavior, respectively, with crossover occurring around the Widom line. In this work, we investigate the two-component dynamics in supercritical carbon dioxide using inelastic X-ray scattering. The measured current correlation function reveals clear signatures of two-component dynamics, which are also confirmed by molecular dynamics simulations. By analyzing the molecular trajectories, we confirm that the two-component dynamics originate due to the presence of molecular clusters in supercritical fluids. The deposit includes data files from experiment and simulation, along with the analyses codes used in this study.
