Parkes observations for project P1335 semester 2024OCTS_06

We request six observations for ASKAP~J1832--0911, a 44-minute Ultra-long period object, with Murriyang ultra-wide-bandwidth low-frequency receiver (UWL). The proposed observation can help us measure and understand different kinds of sub-structures of the pulse over a wide frequency range. The observation can also serve as a pilot observation to develop a method to measure wide pulses with a single-dish telescope. This observation will help us measure the physical parameters of the source and its surrounding environment, and will also help us map the system geometry so that we can model the emission mechanism.

我们申请使用穆里扬（Murriyang）超宽带低频接收机（UWL）对44分钟超长周期天体ASKAP~J1832--0911开展6次观测。本次拟开展的观测将助力我们在宽频率范围内测量并解析脉冲的各类亚结构。该观测同时可作为先导观测，用于研发单碟射电望远镜测量宽频脉冲的相关方法。本次观测将帮助我们测定该天体及其周围环境的物理参数，同时还能绘制其系统几何结构，以便对其辐射机制开展建模分析。
