METAPHORS IN PROVERBS ABOUT NATURAL PHENOMENA AND THEIR COMPARATIVE ANALYSIS

This thesis examines the linguistic and cultural analysis of metaphors used in proverbs about natural phenomena in English and Uzbek. In addition, the topic highlights the meanings of the metaphors used in proverbs, and the similarities and differences between proverbs in Uzbek and English with examples. The purpose of this thesis is to show how the interrelations of the two peoples and, in particular, natural phenomena are expressed through proverbs. The sources for the thesis were articles and opinions of representatives of the field.本论文针对英语与乌兹别克语中以自然现象为主题的谚语所使用的隐喻，展开语言学与文化层面的分析。此外，本研究还结合实例阐释了谚语中隐喻的内涵，并对比分析英乌两国谚语之间的异同。本论文的研究目的在于揭示，英乌两国人民之间的互动关联，尤其是自然现象相关的认知，是如何通过谚语得以体现的。本论文的研究资料来源于该领域学者的相关学术文章与观点。
