STRUCTURAL-SEMANTIC STUDY OF SLANG WITH A MAMMAL COMPONENT IN ENGLISH

Among English slang items, animal names occur in great abundance. They are diverse in terms of their structure, semantics, linguopragmatic and linguostylistic features, and they stand out because of the distinctiveness of their usage. From this perspective, the present article is devoted to a structural-semantic study of mammals codified in English slang dictionaries.英语俚语范畴内，动物名称类表达的出现频次极高、数量颇为丰富。此类表达在结构、语义、语言语用（linguopragmatic）与语言文体（linguostylistic）特征方面均呈现出多样的面貌，且因其使用方式极具独特性而格外引人注目。基于此视角，本文旨在对英语俚语词典中收录的哺乳类动物俚语展开结构-语义层面的研究。
