Distribution of emissions released by Tesco 2019-2020

Production and supply account for the largest share of emissions released by Tesco. According to the latest data published by the retailer, 50 percent of the greenhouse gases emitted during the financial year 2019/20 were due to the actual production of goods. Running of physical stores represented only two percent of Tesco's emission footprint.
