Shapefile of Processed ship-based Navigation Data from the Lau Back-arc Basin acquired during the Melville expedition MGLN08MV (2006)

This data set was acquired with a ship-based Navigation system during Melville expedition MGLN08MV conducted in 2006 (Chief Scientist: Dr. David Hilton). These data files are of Shapefile format and include Navigation data and were processed after data collection. Data were acquired as part of the project(s): Collaborative Research: Chemical, isotopic and volatile constraints on the evolution of the Lau Basin, and funding was provided by NSF grant(s): OCE04-53608.

本数据集通过船载导航系统采集，采集工作于2006年开展的梅尔维尔号科考航次MGLN08MV期间完成，首席科学家为大卫·希尔顿（David Hilton）博士。本次数据集文件采用Shapefile格式，包含导航数据，且已于数据采集完成后进行了后期处理。本数据采集工作隶属于合作研究项目《劳盆地演化的化学、同位素与挥发分约束》，并获得了美国国家科学基金会（National Science Foundation, NSF）编号为OCE04-53608的项目资助。
