Murphy Dome: Moss (Hylocomium splendens and Pleurozium schreberi) biomass results from a birch leaf litter and leachates manipulation experiment in a black spruce stand.

This dataset contains moss (Hylocomium splendens and Pleurozium schreberi) growth from individual moss shoots in a black spruce stand. 10 H. splendens and 5 P. schreberi were marked with PVC beads and measured in September 2014 and then each moss segment was measured again August 2015. All samples were harvested in 2015 and their dry weights were calculated. Moss biomass from other time periods were estimated using allometric equations. The data was collected in the spruce stands of block A only at Murphy Dome (access via Cache Creek road).

本数据集涵盖黑云杉林分中两种苔藓——光泽绢藓（Hylocomium splendens）与塔藓（Pleurozium schreberi）的单个枝条生长数据。2014年9月，研究人员对10株光泽绢藓及5株塔藓施以PVC珠标记并完成初始测量；2015年8月，对每一段苔藓枝条再次开展复测。2015年，所有样本均被采集并完成干重计算。其余时段的苔藓生物量通过异速生长方程进行估算。本数据集仅采集自墨菲穹顶（可经由卡什克里克公路抵达）的A区块云杉林分。
