Pilot area agriculture (mass, energy and logistics) (Environmental vision 2014) (history)

Version of Proefgebied Landbouw (mass, energy and logistics) adopted by Provincial Staten van Drenthe on 2 July 2014. The peat colonies have been designated as a pilot area for agriculture. New developments in agriculture can be introduced first, such as innovations in housing, new crops, efficient water use, sustainability and renewable energy. The province of Drenthe wants to actively support this. The initiation of these new possibilities takes place via the ‘Agenda for the Veenkolonien’ (a joint task of municipalities and provinces in Groningen and Drenthe).
