Processed multibeam bathymetry data of Bense and Anse-de-Mai Bay, Dominica from Portus Pole mounted Norbit iWBMS (March 2022)

Multibeam swath bathymetry data were collected using a Norbit iWBMS echosounder series mounted onto a Portus Pole on dive boat 'Olga' in March 2022. The data were collected as part of the Commonwealth Marine Economies Programme (CMEP), where bathymetric data was collected in Bense and Anse-de-Mai Bay area, Dominica. The data were processed using Quality Positioning Services (QPS) Qimera software and hand edited to remove spurious points. Sound Velocity Profile (SVP) data was collected periodically and used to correct the data. Tidal corrections were completed using predicted tides for Roseau. Tidal and SVP data were of limited quality and availability. However, overlap of swaths was good and tidal and SVP bathymetry differences were not noticed overduly. The data were gridded at 2 m, in WGS84 UTM Zone 20N projection and exported as longitude-latitude-depth triples. Funding was provided by the United Kingdom Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office (FCDO).
