Number of domestic visitors to Sarnath monuments India FY 2023

The excavated remains at Sarnath, a collection of monasteries, stupas, temples, inscriptions, sculptures amongst other antiques, some of which date back to the third century B.C., was the most visited monument by domestic visitors in the Sarnath circle in India, accounting for approximately 755 thousand in fiscal year 2023. Old fort, Jaunpur was the second most visited monumnet during the same period.
