Value of deposits in the banking sector in Tanzania 2014-2022

As of March 2022, the total value of bank deposits in Tanzania was around 28.2 trillion Tanzanian shillings (TZS), roughly 12 billion U.S. dollars. Around the same level of deposits was kept in the preceding year. However, compared to 2014, the amount of money placed in Tanzanian commercial banks increased significantly from 17 trillion TZS (7.3 billion U.S. dollars).
