This dataset contains comprehensive experimental performance measurements from comparing Hyperledger Fabric v2.5.10 and Hyperledger Besu v24.10.0 blockchain platforms for Internet of Things (IoT) sensor applications. The dataset includes over 1,500 test runs measuring throughput (TPS), latency (seconds), scalability, fault tolerance, energy consumption, and resource utilization across varying configurations.Experiments were conducted using Hyperledger Caliper v0.6.0 as the benchmarking tool on a distributed testbed with Intel Core i7-14700 processors (28 cores), 32GB RAM, running Ubuntu 24.04 LTS. The dataset covers baseline performance tests, network scalability analysis (2-6 organizations for Fabric, 7-13 validators for Besu), concurrent sensor workloads (1-100 simultaneous sensors), fault tolerance scenarios (5 injection types with 3 trials each), and 72-hour stability tests. Physical IoT hardware validation includes 600 LED trigger events using Raspberry Pi 5, MQ-135 gas sensor, and Arduino UNO R4.All measurements include multiple trials with statistical reliability metrics, error bars, and confidence intervals. Data is organized in 11 Excel sheets with raw values, calculated metrics, and comprehensive statistical analyses. This dataset supports reproducibility of blockchain performance evaluation for large-scale IoT deployments.
