KM1906 SCOPE-Gradients-3 Particle Flux

The SCOPE-Gradients program was designed to test conceptual and mathematical models of biogeochemical organization across the transition zone between different ecosystems. We employed a suite of interdisciplinary sampling strategies on process cruises transecting across the North Pacific subtropical gyre, the transition zone and into the subpolar gyres in order to determine whether the theory underlying our models and driving hypotheses were sufficiently robust to predict in situ observations. This dataset contains Particulate Carbon, Nitrogen, Phosphorus & Silica Fluxes collected using Floating Particle Interceptor Traps (PITs). All PITs were prepared, deployed, and processed according to the Hawaii Ocean Time-series protocols (https://hahana.soest.hawaii.edu/hot/methods/pflux.html).
