This dataset accompanies the manuscript \u201cInformation Warfare as a Precursor to Persecution \u2014 An OSINT Framework for Analyzing the Operation Sindoor Case Study.\u201d It contains multimodal open-source intelligence (OSINT) data collected and analyzed to study the role of information warfare (IW) as a precursor to persecution in the context of Operation Sindoor (2025).The dataset includes:Textual data: social media posts, hashtags, and news archives related to the Pahalgam terror attack (22 April 2025) and Operation Sindoor (7 May 2025).Narrative analysis inputs: annotated corpora for sentiment scoring, topic modeling, and symbolic anchoring (e.g., references to \u201csindoor\u201d).Temporal sequencing files: time-series data showing narrative surges before, during, and after the military strike.Persecution indicators: harassment campaign logs, justificatory rhetoric samples, and persecution risk index (PRI) scores.Verification materials: satellite imagery references, geospatial metadata, and user-generated content cross-checked with official reports.The dataset supports reproducibility of the five-layer OSINT framework proposed in the study: (1) source mapping, (2) narrative extraction, (3) temporal sequencing, (4) persecution indicators, and (5) verification. It enables researchers and practitioners to replicate the analysis, extend the methodology to other conflicts, and develop counter-IW strategies.
