LONGITUDINALLY POLARIZED ELECTRON BEAM AND PROTON TARGET. RESONANCE REGION (INDIVIDUAL RESONANCES AND BACKGROUND NOT SEPARATED). ELECTRON ASYMMETRY IS THE CROSS SECTION D2(SIG)/DOMEGA/DE(P=3) FOR SPINS ANTIPARALLEL MINUS THAT FOR PARALLEL SPINS DIVIDED BY THEIR SUM. PHOTON ASYMMETRY IS ELECTRON ASYMMETRY DIVIDED BY THE DEPOLARIZING FACTOR (CALCULATED ASSUMING LONGITUDINAL/TRANSVERSE VIRTUAL PHOTON TOTAL CROSS SECTION RATIO IS 0.1). IT IS THE TOTAL ABSORPTION CROSS SECTION FOR VIRTUAL PHOTON AND PROTON IN A NET SPIN HALF STATE MINUS THAT IN NET SPIN THREE HALVES STATE DIVIDED BY THEIR SUM.

纵向极化电子束与质子靶。实验处于共振区(未区分单个共振态与本底)。电子不对称度的定义为:自旋反平行时的截面D₂(σ)/dΩ/dE(p=3) 与自旋平行时的该截面之差,再除以二者的和。光子不对称度为电子不对称度除以退极化因子(计算过程中假设纵向与横向虚光子的总截面比值为0.1)。光子不对称度即:净自旋为1/2态的虚光子与质子的总吸收截面,减去净自旋为3/2态的该截面,再除以二者的和。
