Landscape of the green network of natural forest areas, in accordance with Art. 12a(2) BayWaldG.
The network covers at least 10 percent of the state forest area and consists of near-natural forests of particular importance for biodiversity.
Apart from the necessary measures of forest protection and traffic safety, there is no management and no harvesting of wood in natural forests. The detailed rules can be read in the announcement on the natural forests in Bavaria in accordance with Article 12a(2) of the Bavarian Forest Act (BayWaldG) of 2.12.2020, AZ F1-7715-1/800, as last amended on 04.11.22.
