Transcriptome analysis of Casuarina cunninghamiana

As an important part of southeastern coastal protection belt, Casuarina equisetifolia plantation has been making great contribution to resist natural disasters, break wind and fix sands, combat water and soil conservation, and beautify the environment. It has built an ecological barrier for the coastal regions of southeastern China, producing a huge ecological and social benefit, and also guaranteed the sustainable development of regional social economy. Due to its excellent biological properties, such as its strong tolerance to drought, salt-alkaline and barren soil, C.equisetifolia plantation has been regarded as the pioneer species under severe site conditions, especially in frontier outlet zone where there are no alternative species.
