Digital Archive from an Archaeological Evaluation and Watching Brief at Winchester Road, Boorley Green, Hampshire, April - August 2022

This collection consists of images, spreadsheets, GIS and site record data from an archaeological evaluation and subsequent watching brief by Wessex Archaeology. Work occurred at Winchester Road, Boorley Green, Hampshire, from April to August 2022. A total of 78 trenches were excavated across the two areas, with 36 in the northern area and 42 to the south. Excavation within the northern area revealed 17 features, comprising ditches, pits and a natural, possibly geological, feature. In the southern area eight archaeological features, comprising ditches and pits along with a natural feature were investigated. In the northern area, a cluster of five pits was identified. This was targeted by the watching brief which exposed an additional 24 pits and a shallow ditch.
