Description: The pyruvate dehydrogenase regulator, PdhR, plays a key role in controlling central carbon metabolism in Escherichia coli. What, if any, effect this pleiotropic regulator may have on virulence is currently unknown. To answer this question, we have sought to compare the transcriptome of WT E. coli O157:H7 to that of a pdhR null deletion mutant.
