Schools according to type of Management (Provisional data)

The authority, which runs a school, determines its type of management. The type of management considered for the survey are : Government school which is run by the state/Central Government or public sector undertaking or an Autonomous Organisation completely financed by the Government; Local body school which is run by Panchayati Raj/Local body Institution such as Zilla Parishad, Municipal Committee, notified Area Committee and Cantonment Board; Private Aided schools which is run by individual or private organization and receives grant from government or local body; Private Unaided school school which is managed by an individual or private organization and does not receive any grant either from government or local body. The data signifies the availability of schools of different level(Primary/Upper Primary/Secondary/Higher Secondary/Degree College having XI-XII class) according to type of management like Government, Local Body, Private Aided, Private Unaided in Rural/Urban/Total area at all India level.
