The Nudiviridae family has recently been established by the International Committee on Taxonomy of Viruses (ICTV) but genomic data still lack to trace back their evolutionary history. This study aims at sequencing a new Diptera-infecting nudivirus to deepen knowledge of nudiviruses and arthropod large dsDNA virus evolutionary history.
