Coordination Problems Triggered by Sunspots in the Laboratory - The Data

This is the (raw) data of an economic experiment. The experiment tries to answer the question if a sunspot variable can lead to coordination problems in a three player stag hunt game. The experiment was computer-based and took place in the "Essen Laboratory for experimental Economics" at the University of Duisburg-Essen in December 2010 and June 2011. We use the software zTree to program the experiment. A total of 6 sessions with 87 participants are conducted. The participants of the experiment form groups of three. The groups play a repeated stag hunt game over 40 periods. The groups are randomly matched and stay together over all 40 periods. The file "sunspotsS.RData" is a ready R data frame. You will find all relevant data in that data frame. The raw data is also available. You can find the raw zTree output in the "rawdata" folder. You can find the zTree code in the "zTree treatments" folder. You can find the instructions of the experiment in the "Instructions" folder. The instructions are available in original, German language and in English. The variables of the "sunspotS.RData" are explained in the "explanation.pdf" file.

本数据集为一项经济学实验的原始（raw）数据。本实验旨在探究太阳黑子变量（sunspot variable）是否会在三人猎鹿博弈（stag hunt game）中引发协调问题。本次实验为计算机化实验，于2010年12月与2011年6月在杜伊斯堡-埃森大学埃森实验经济学实验室（Essen Laboratory for experimental Economics）开展，实验程序采用zTree软件编写完成。本次实验共设置6个场次，招募87名被试：被试将被随机划分为三人小组，各组在40个回合内重复进行猎鹿博弈，且组内成员在全部40个回合中保持固定匹配。文件"sunspotsS.RData"为已预处理完成的R数据框（R data frame），包含实验所需的全部相关数据。原始实验数据亦同步提供：zTree的原始输出文件存放于"rawdata"文件夹内；zTree实验程序代码存放于"zTree treatments"文件夹中；实验指导手册存放于"Instructions"文件夹，提供德语原版与英语译本两个版本。"sunspotsS.RData"中各变量的详细说明可查阅"explanation.pdf"文件。
