This potential breeding site dataset (PBSD) specifically tailored for Ae. albopictus, including items such as buckets, bowls, bins, aquatic plants, jars, lids, pots, boxes, and sinks that were common in the Yangtze River Basin in China, which is composed of PBSD1 and PBSD2.The DJ Phantom4 Pro V2 drone was used to collect images, and the pixel 4d application program was used for route planning. The overlap between each pair of neighboring images was determined between 70% and 80%, and the flying altitude was set 30 m above ground level, providing a ground sample distance (GSD) of ∼0.82 cm/px.Using the visible light reconstruction module of DJ Terra 3.4.4 to the captured drone images and completed orthomosaic construction, forming Image Set (IS) 1 with TIFF(. tif) images. By cropping and converting the format of IS 1, IS 2 with 960px * 960px JPEG (.jpg) images were produced. Ground truth polygons of nine PBS were drawn for IS 2 using Labelimg software, which comprised potential breeding site dataset (PBSD) 1. Then, each image in PBSD 1 was used as the center image, expanded to 1920px*1920px, and fine-tuned in size to extract a 960px*960px image with PBS. Finally, the fine-tuned images were cropped from top left to bottom right with a stride of 200 pixels, to obtain a PBSD 2 with 960px * 960px images.
